ON24 has announced the Social CRM Virtual Summit to take place on November 11. The company is collaborating with Lithium Technologies to deliver the conference that will explore how social media and communities can work in tandem with virtual events to create business applications.
Jeremiah Owyang, partner at the Altimeter Group, wrote back in August on his Web Strategy blog about the need for social media and virtual events to become more closely interconnected. "Tight integration with social technologies is the inevitable next step as virtual event adoption continues to grow. In fact, Lithium's partnership with ON24 illustrates a key principle -- events should integrate with communities and social networks to increase participant interaction."
Owyang will deliver a keynote along with Altimeter's Ray Wang and CRM thought leaders Paul Greenberg and Brent Leary. The program will also feature interactive booths, a resource center, and a virtual networking lounge.
"With the Social CRM Virtual Summit, two marketing leaders have come together to extend the ON24 platform," said ON24 Chief Marketing Officer Denise Persson. "It represents the 'best of both worlds' and is an industry first -- an integrated, social-media enabled virtual event and innovative, next-generation solution for social CRM."
Details and registration for the five-hour event can be found here.
