InXpo, a leading virtual events provider, has launched XpoCast Plus, a new Webcasting product aimed at making virtual events more engaging for end users.
“InXpo’s webcast service is very
impressive and offers a unique environment for hosts to interact and engage
with audiences,” said Ken Molay, president of Webinar Success. “XpoCast Plus’ screen sharing performance is
among the best that I’ve seen, and the integration of Web access inside an
event with live and recorded video allows for compelling multimedia
collaboration.”
XpoCast Plus offers an optional theater/lobby, where guests can be greeted by an immersive environment that features the ability to chat with other attendees and company reps, as well as the option to stuff virtual briefcases full of company materials. The space can also be customized with banner ads and messages.
XpoCast Plus offers a simplified set-up process by using a set-up wizard that allows the creator to add branded items, embed banner messages, and modify the color and styles. The self-service media editor makes it simple to upload and edit content without the need for post-production time. The software is also compatible with a Webcam, eliminating the need for studio equipment.
Inside the environment, the use of 'PowerSlide' allows for a slide viewing area where videos, Twitter streams, interactive product demos and renderings of live Web pages can reside. There are also a number of social media features - instant audience feedback, IM - all supported by a backend reporting system that makes lead generation and followup simpler.
Pricing begins at $1,000 for the Webcast, with the theater/lobby starting at $5,000 plus services.

Thank you for the post, I am impressed.

Web casting, or http://www.vsworld.com/?loadSwf=swf/streaming.swf broadcasting over the internet, is a media file (audio-video mostly) distributed over the internet using streaming media technology. Streaming implies media played as a continuous stream and received real time by the browser (end user). Streaming technology enables a single content source to be distributed to many simultaneous viewers. http://www.vsworld.com/?loadSwf=swf/streaming.swf Streaming video bandwidth is typically calculated in gigabytes of data transferred. It is important to estimate how many viewers you can reach, for example in a http://www.vsworld.com/?loadSwf=swf/webcast.swf live webcast, given your bandwidth constraints or conversely, if you are expecting a certain audience size, what bandwidth resources you need to deploy.
