Cisco announced a few days ago that it has bowed new social network/enterprise collaboration software: Show and Share and Enterprise Collaboration Platform.
The announcements, made last week, introduces two social software systems that will simplify the way teams can form, communicate and collaborate.
The Show and Share software is a robust video system allowing employees to create and manage secure video communities. Videos can be shared between any number of stakeholders, and makes it easy to collaboratively edit, record and share video, as well as having the ability to add comments, ratings, tags and RSS feeds. As well, speech-to-text transcripts will be available.
The Enterprise Collaboration Platform features a corporate directory with social networking capabilities, including real-time voice and video communications, built on an open, standards-based platform. This allows for on-the-fly teammaking and integration of legacy business apps and Web 2.0 content, such as wikis and blogs. The product also integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange and the other Cisco products, Unified Communications and WebEx Conferencing.

The biggest challenge to Web 2.0 still remands the culture change in an organization. So, one still needs a company like wiikno to help integrate into an organization
