InXpo, a leading provider of privately-branded virtual events and a recent recepient of $9-million in first-round venture funding from Highland Capital, has announced three key hires to the executive management team that will help expand the company as revenue growth continues.
Phil Harrell has been appointed VP of Sales. In this role he will oversee channel partnerships, expand the sales team, and capitalize on global market opportunities. Harrell spent almost 10 years at Akamai Technologies, helping lead that company's charge to its current $800-million in revenues.
"InXpo has a powerful value proposition, when you think about companies trying to cut their costs, increase their revenue, trying to improve collaboration with their constituents, and this really gets me excited about this opportunity," Harrell said in a company video. "The marquee clients list and customers that InXpo has currently is unbelievable. When you put that all together - the market opportunity and the value proposition - I thought this is a great place to be."
Bob Bahramipour has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer, where he will oversee all marketing operations. Bahramipour's resume includes stints at Yume, Yahoo! Search and a variety of venture-funded startups.
"My focus here is to help take our technology to repackage it, leverage it and focus it so it delivers maximum results for our customers," he said in a video. "Events are an effective tool for the CMO in a b2b world. We're bringing the power of the digital world into the event so that if I'm in a CMO, I can achieve those same results, lowering costs, better reaching my customer, improving overall ROI, and improving my brand awareness and customer loyalty, and in the same way that a Yahoo or Google has achieved that for a major consumer brand, we at InXpo are building tools for the business-to-business marketer to be able to achieve the same types of results."
Also joining the team is John Hegstrom as VP of client services. Hegstrom, a veteram of PopularMedia, Informatica, and InXpo competitor Unisfair, will be in charge of ensuring the seamless delivery of virtual events.
