Red 7 Media has signed an agreement with InXpo to co-develop virtual environments for the events industry that will include Webinars, research, events, community interaction and productivity tools.
"It's a great partnership in part because we're looking to fundamentally reinvent what it means to be a media company," said Michael Westcott, Managing Director of Red 7 Media, in a podcast between the two companies streaming on YouTube. "And we've recognized that that means moving from a situation where content is king and advertising is your revenue to a situation where community is king and really nurturing that community through a 24/7 online tool and then hosting events on top of that. When we looked at the opportunities out there and the potential partners to get involved with, it was pretty clear that InXpo was hands-down the best partner to deal with."
Red 7 Media is a Norwalk, CT.-based B2B media company, working in publishing and the events industry. The company's first event with InXpo will be the inaugral virtual trade show for the publishing industry called Folio: Show Virtual at the end of October. A second event, ExpoTech Virtual, intended for event organizers and showcasing technology solutions, will take place a week later.
"Together, we'll be able to really educate the magazine, media and publishing space as well as the event marketing community, and really help them understand how to use and combine virtual and physical events effectively," said Westscott.
“Our relationship is a terrific match. Red7 has the vision and the leadership in two very important markets for us and we are pleased to be selected as their partner to deliver on that vision. These communities will be influential contributors in raising the bar for virtual events,” stated Drew VanVooren, President and Co-Founder of InXpo.
